14,000 TONNES – CAR AUCTIONS FACILITY

Use: Construction of a new car auctions facility, auction hall, office building, car storage forecourt and customer parking.  The whole site footprint was capped off with a 200mm layer of IBAA Class 1A Fill.  Overlayed with a 150mm layer of IBAA SHW 803 Type 1 for the building footprint, car park and all externals.

Benefits:  IBA Aggregate is an extremely cost-effective material when compared to Primary Aggregates.  There are advantages logistically when using IBAA due to the low density of the material, it allows for fewer vehicle movements because there are volumetric advantages over primary materials.
